Blue Jays open series with Orioles as favourites on MLB odds

The Toronto Blue Jays will attempt to rebound from Thursday’s 8-7 loss to the Boston Red Sox when they open a three-game weekend series against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday as -120 favourites on the MLB odds at sportsbooks monitored by
Toronto blew an early 6-1 lead in Thursday’s defeat as a +115 underdog, but keeps a respectable 5-3 record in its last eight home contests going into Friday night’s Orioles vs. Blue Jays betting matchup at Rogers Centre.
The Blue Jays and balancing in recent outings have struggled despite frequently generating offence. The group has racked up 6.75 runs per game over its previous 12 contests, but with opponents tallying 71 total runs through that stretch Toronto has been made to settle for a middling 6-6 record. In totals betting, going 16-5-1 from the past 22 competitions of Toronto, the OVER has regularly paid out.
After dropping two of three at Tampa Bay to open their present road excursion the Orioles arrive. Baltimore tallied a 9-6 victory over the Rays in Wednesday’s series finale to prevent the sweep as a +185 wager, but the Orioles have been road performers of late.
Baltimore has come up short in 12 straight road series since the first week of the season. The Orioles’ latest road series win came in Toronto in the beginning of April, when they posted victories in two matches during a set, with each victory.

The Blue Jays will need a strong outing. The right-hander is coming off the worst month of his MLB career in June, amassing a bloated 12.00 ERA in 27 innings of work over six begins. Sanchez has surrendered 27 total earned runs over his past four outings.
But, Sanchez has been steady against the Orioles, restricting them to five complete earned runs in 18.1 innings over his previous three starts against them, but he earned the win in merely one of these contests.
